Description

Health and Neuroscience Visiting Position. The Department of Psychology at Carleton College invites applications for a half-time, one-year visiting position, beginning September 1, 2017, at the rank of assistant professor or instructor (Ph.D. preferred). We are looking for candidates with a strong research and teaching background in health psychology and neuroscience. Responsibilities include teaching a mid-level health psychology course with accompanying laboratory in the fall term, supervising a small number of undergraduate theses in the winter term, and teaching an additional mid-level course or an upper-level seminar in neuroscience in the spring term. (For comparison, a full-time one-year teaching load is six courses spread equally across three trimester terms of ten weeks each.) Office space and shared research facilities would be available for the entire academic year. This position is eligible for benefits.
